I’M HERE TO EMPOWER!
My name is Nanna de Jong also known as Nanski Punanski and for over a decade I’ve been making powerful illustrations. I’ve had the pleasure of working for clients like National Geographic, REEF, Triodos Bank, Amazon Prime, Van Gogh Museum, Lowlands Festival, Amnesty and much more.
My style is energetic and playful and I’m always working in my recognizable “pride pallet”. Inclusivity and empowerment are important topics in my work and the gradients in my work show that not everything is black-and-white nor pink-and-blue.
I use my pencil to press on political, social and environmental problems. Not in a whispering voice but through loud and popping visuals!
I want to show an alternative world without binary thinking. To give you a different perspective I love to play with POV’s and really pull you into my artworks. My compositions are fluid and so are my figures. They are gender non-conforming, expressive, vulnerable and most of all: unapologeticly themselves!
I’ve designed packaging for beer labels, designed sandals (REEF) and made animations (Boijmans and Beuningen Museum). I’m specialized in making editorial illustrations for magazines, newspapers or online platforms like Suddeutsche Zeitung, De Morgen, Triodos Bank and much more.
This grey world could use some extra color so when I get the opportunity to transform a camper van into an artwork on wheels, a boring wall into a beautiful big mural painting or even to paint a washing machine for Robijn, I will!
If you like what you see and resonate with my art please don’t hesitate to contact me or just say hi!
